<em>(6,-2) is true for 4x-3y=30 but </em><em>NOT</em><em> for 3x+2y=22.</em>

4*6=24

3*(-2)=-6

24-(-6) changes to 24+6 which equals 30

24+6=30.

3*6=18

2*(-2)=-4

18+(-4) would be changed to 18-4

18-4=14

Use the trigonometric ratio sin A = 0.38 to determine which angle of the triangle is &lt; A
-Dominant- [34]
<span>According to trigonometric the formula for sin is sin = opposite/hypotenuse.Sin is defined as the ratio of sides of a right angled triangle.Hypotenuse is the is the longest side of a right-angled triangle,which is the side opposite of the right angle.So the the hypotenuse is clearly 1.3, so you divide 0.5/1.3 Hence the answer is around 0.38 The result is Angle2..</span>

An object is thrown upward from the top of a 48-foot building with an initial velocity of 32 feetquadratic equation h = - 16t^2+
Alex17521 [72]

SOLUTION

The object would hit the ground at the root of the equation, that is where h = 0

So we have

\begin{gathered} h=-16t^2+32t+48=0 \\ -16t^2+32t+48=0 \\ 16t^2-32t-48=0 \\ divide\text{ through by 16} \\ t^2-2t-3=0 \end{gathered}

Solving the quadratic equation, we have

\begin{gathered} t^2-3t+t-3=0 \\ t(t-3)+1(t-3)=0 \\ (t-3)(t+1)=0 \\ t=3,\text{ or} \\ t=-1 \end{gathered}

So we ignore -1 as time cannot be negative.

Hence the object hit the ground in 3 seconds
