Answer:

Check explanation.

Explanation:

One of the reasons for the independence fights is that of which is related the regulation of business. Therefore, the United States of America governmen tried to balance the needs of companies and the needs of worker.

Unfortunately, During the last quarter of the nineteenth century the government sided with management and against unions. But this partiality did not last until 1902, where the President then, Roosevelt Teddy threatened companies for example the coal companies to bargain in good faith with their workers.

Also, on the 5th of July, 1935 the Wagner Labor Relations Act was signed by the then President , Roosevelt Franklin. The Act established rules and regulations for allowing unions to established the National Labor Relations Boards as a federal agency so as to enforce the provisions of the pro-Labour Act.

In 1947, the Congress, with the Taft-Hartley Act amended the Wagner Act. This amendment is to restrict the activities and power of labor unions.

Government really tried in regulating big corporations in the nineteenth century.

Why were blockade runners important to Georgia during the Civil War? Question 6 options: They were able to move troops efficient
Paha777 [63]

The correct answer is they brought needed supplies into the state. Various nations employ the old naval tactic of blockading with the intention to starve, outlast, or destroy their enemies. The main objective of blockades is to prevent ships from delivering support, supplies, goods or food to enemy ports.

In 1861, the Union blockade was carried out to stop Southern commerce and damage the Confederacy during the Civil War. To counter these efforts, Confederate blockade runners took care of bringing as many supplies as needed to the struggling Confederacy.

How did King Leopold II of Belgium rule the Congo?
GaryK [48]

Leopold II (9 April 1835 – 17 December 1909) reigned as the second King of the Belgians from 1865 to 1909. He became known for the founding and exploitation of the Congo Free State as a private venture. Born in Brusselsas the second (but eldest surviving) son of Leopold I and Louise of Orléans, he succeeded his father to the Belgian throne in 1865 and reigned for 44 years until his death - the longest reign of any Belgian monarch. He died without surviving male issue; the current Belgian king descends from his nephew and successor, Albert I.

Leopold became the founder and sole owner of the Congo Free State, a private project undertaken on his own behalf. He used explorer Henry Morton Stanley to help him lay claim to the Congo, the present-day Democratic Republic of the Congo. At the Berlin Conference of 1884–1885 the colonial nations of Europe authorized his claim by committing the Congo Free State to improving the lives of the native inhabitants. From the beginning, however, Leopold essentially ignored these conditions. He ran the Congo using the mercenary Force Publique for his personal enrichment. He used great sums of the money from this exploitation for public and private construction projects in Belgium during this period. He donated the private buildings to the state before his death, to preserve them for Belgium.

Leopold extracted a fortune from the Congo, initially by the collection of ivory, and - after a rise in the price of rubber in the 1890s - by forced labour from the natives to harvest and process rubber. Under his régime millions of the Congolese people died; modern estimates range from 1 to 15 million, with a consensus growing around 10 million. Human-rights abuses under his régime contributed significantly to these deaths. Reports of deaths and abuse led to a major international scandal in the early 20th century, and the Belgian government ultimately forced Leopold to relinquish control of the colony to Belgian civil administration in 1908 <From wikipedia i give all credits to wikipedia> Hope it helps

The _____ theory is based on the assumption that the wealth of the world is fixed.
Aneli [31]

The <u> mercantilism </u>theory is based on the assumption that the wealth of the world is fixed.

It was first published as An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations, more generally known as The Wealth of Nations. The book was written by BY Adam Smith, a Scottish moral philosopher by profession, to explain the industrialized capitalism system.

According to mercantilism, wealth was set and limited. The only way to succeed was to stockpile gold and impose tariffs on imports.

This theory suggests that nations should sell their products to other nations while making no purchases in return. Predictably, nations entered into cycles of retaliatory tariffs that stifled global trade.
