<h3>Answer with explanation:</h3>

Question: Caroline has a party in her house.She has 4 quarts of apple juice which she has to serve in cup.Find the number of cups than can be filled by apple juice?

<u>solution:</u> Number of quarts of apple juice=4

As we know that:

1 quart= 4 cups.

Hence, 4 quarts= 4×4=16 cups.

<em>Hence, the number of cups that can be filled by apple juice= 16 cups.</em>

We are changing the larger unit (i.e. quarts) to smaller unit (i.e. cups) since the juice is to be served in cups so that it would be easy for them to consume.

Item 6 A savings account earns 5% simple interest per year. The principal is $1200. What is the balance after 4 years?
lions [1.4K]

The formula for simple interest is

I=PRT

here P=$1200

R=5% or 0.05

T=4 years

plugging in the formula we get

I=1200*0.05*4=240

Balance after four years =1200+240=$1440

How do you solve this equation
dsp73
First, you must get rid of the fractions. You can do that by multiplying that 15. Then, you get:
45x-12=-5x
Then combine the like terms

50x=12

x=12/50=6/25

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to calculate the total time. We are given two functions that when summed up will give you total time.

Dario bakes a lasagna containing $\frac 23$ pound of parmesan cheese, $1\frac 14$ pounds of ricotta cheese, and $1\frac 13$ poun
svp [43]

Answer: There are 13 slices when Dario cuts .

Explanation :

Since we have given that

Quantity of parmesan cheese is given by

\frac{2}{3}

Quantity of ricotta cheese is given by

1\frac{1}{4}

Quantity of mozzarella cheese is given by

1\frac{1}{3}

Now, total  quantity of cheese Dario have

\frac{2}{3}+\frac{5}{4}+\frac{4}{3}=2+\frac{5}{4}=\frac{8+5}{4}=\frac{13}{4}

Now,

According to question, Dario cuts the lasagna into several equal slices and each containing exactly

\frac{1}{4}\ pounds\ of\ cheese

So,

Number of slices is given by

\frac{\frac{13}{4}}{\frac{1}{4}}=13

Hence, there are 13 slices when Dario cuts .
