I don't know the correct answer from part b and I can't sing very well, so I'll skip that part.

The volume is length times width times height.

V = 5.6 \times 2.1 \times 6.6 = 77.616

I used a computer calculator.

Answer: 77.616 cubic centimeters

Hat term can you add to StartFraction 5 over 6 EndFraction x minus 4 to make it equivalent to One-half x minus 4?
kolezko [41]

Answer:

\dfrac{-x}{3}should be added to the given equation.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a is added to the given equation.

According to the given condition,

\dfrac{5x}{6}-4+a=\dfrac{x}{2}-4\\\\a=\dfrac{x}{2}-4+4-\dfrac{5x}{6}\\\\a=\dfrac{x}{2}-\dfrac{5x}{6}\\\\a=\dfrac{3x-5x}{6}\\\\a=\dfrac{-2x}{6}\\\\a=\dfrac{-x}{3}

So, \dfrac{-x}{3}should be added to the given equation.

The two rectangular prisms are similar.
Sophie [7]

Answer:

The volume of the larger rectangular prism is 648\ cm^{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

If two figures are similar, then the ratio of its volumes is equal to the scale factor elevated to the cube

Let

z-----> the scale factor

x-----> the volume of the larger rectangular prism

y-----> the volume of the smaller rectangular prism

z^{3}=\frac{x}{y}

In this problem we have

z=\frac{12}{4}=3 ---> the scale factor is equal to the ratio of its corresponding sides

y=24\ cm^{3}

substitute and solve for x

3^{3}=\frac{x}{24}

x=27*24=648\ cm^{3}

pantera1 [17]

Steps to solve:

8j - k + 14; j = 0.25 and k = 1

~Substitute

8(0.25) - (1) + 14

~Simplify

2 - 1 + 14

~Subtract

1 + 14

~Add

Please help me with this math problem!!
xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:

y=3

Step-by-step explanation:

This is an isosceles triangle because the two angles at the bottom are equal.

This means the two sides are equal

5y-2 = 13

Add 2 to each side

5y-2+2 =13+2

5y = 15

Divide each side by 5

5y/5 = 15/5

y =3
