A soccer game is 90 minutes long. 36 minutes have passed . what percentage of the game has passed. can someone please help me

36 divided by 90 gives the percent so its 0.4 which is 40%

Simple, You take 36 minutes and put it over 90 minutes in a fraction form and set it equal to x over 100 (because ever percentage is out of 100) after doing this you cross multiply 36 and 100 which is 3600 afterwards you divide by 90 and get an answer of 40%
