4. If all of the walls are 14 feet long, you can treat the ceiling as a square and find the area.
14 squared is 196.
So we need enough to cover 196 square feet.
To find out how many pails it will take you need to divide the area (196) by the amount a pail covers (90)
I got 2.17777, so by rounding up you get 3 pails.

5. I'm not sure about this question try 234 in^2

Calculate the perimeter of the figure below.
mote1985 [20]

Well, we know perimeter is just adding all the lengths together.

And we already know 2 of the lengths, so we know the rest. 11 1/2 is the same as the opposite side, and 6 1/3 is the same as the opposite side.

So the sides are 6 1/3, 6 1/3, 11 1/2, 11 1/2.

Add them up:

6 1/3 + 6 1/3 + 11 1/2 + 11 1/2.

Improper fractions:

19/3 + 19/3 + 23/2 + 23/2.

Common denominator, (6):

38/6 + 38/6 + 69/6 + 69/6 = 214/6.

Simplify:

214/6 =  35 2/3

Solving for an Unknown Using the Distributive Property
ArbitrLikvidat [17]

<em><u>Complete Question:</u></em>

The equation a= 180(n-2)/n represents the angle measures, a, in a regular n-sided polygon. When the equation is solved for n, n is equal to a fraction with a denominator of a – 180. What is the numerator of the fraction?

<em><u>Answer:</u></em>

The numerator of fraction is -360

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Given that,

<em><u>The equation represents the angle measures, a, in a regular n-sided polygon is:</u></em>

a = \frac{180(n - 2)}{n}

We have to solve the equation for "n"

Rearrange the equation

a \times n = 180(n - 2)\\\\a \times n = 180n - 360\\\\an - 180 n = -360\\\\Take\ n\ as\ common\ factor\\\\n(a-180) = -360\\\\n = \frac{-360}{a - 180}

Thus the numerator of the fraction is -360
