At Best Burgers, Jack collected sales data on the type of side order served with each type of burger purchased for a week. Jack

serves a half pound of onion rings with every kind of burger. If Jack sells 120 bacon cheeseburgers total, about how many pounds of onion rings will he serve with them? (round to nearest whole number)At a mall food court, the first 40 orders for the day are given below. • 22 pizza slices • 8 hamburgers • 4 hot dogs • 6 fried chicken Based on this information, how many hamburger orders could be expected from 300 customers?

The <em><u>correct answers</u></em> are:

60 pounds of onion rings and 60 hamburgers.

Explanation:

Jack serves a half pound of onion rings with every burger.  He serves 120 bacon cheeseburgers.  To find the number of pounds of onion rings, we multiply 1/2 pound by 120 burgers:

1/2(120) = 1/2(120/1) = (1*120)/(2*1) = 120/2 = 60 pounds of onion rings.

There were 8 hamburgers served out of the first 40 orders.  If this rate continues, then to find the number of hamburgers out of 300 orders, we multiply 8/40 by 300:

8/40(300) = 8/40(300/1) = (8*300)/(40*1) = 2400/40 = 60

There would be 60 hamburgers.

Question:   <em><u>At Best Burgers, Jack collected sales data on the type of side order served with each type of burger purchased for a week.  </u></em>

<em><u> Jack serves a half pound of onion rings with every kind of burger.  </u></em>

<em><u> If Jack sells 120 bacon cheeseburgers total, about how many pounds of onion rings will he serve with them? (round to nearest whole number)</u></em>

<h2>Answer:    The answer is C) 30 pounds</h2><h2></h2>

Step by step explanation:

Bacon cheeseburger with onion rings:

\frac{40}{(41 + 40)} = \frac{40}{81} = 0.4938

after that,  120 x 0.4938 = 59.256

then,  59.256 x .50 = 29.628

So 29.628 rounded is 30 and that is C

Find the area of the shape shown<br> below.
steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

The area of the figure is 28 units².

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the area of the full rectangle, ignoring the triangle.

a = lw \\ a = 4 \times 8 = 32

Then, find the area of the triangle:

a =  \frac{bh}{2}  \\ a =  \frac{2 \times 4}{2}  \\ a = 4

Finally, subtract:

32 - 4 = 28

Question:Find the area of he trapezoid by decomposing it into other shapes.
Ad libitum [116K]

Answer:

D) 171 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

You don’t actually need to decompose it.  You could just do it as a trapezoid:

(15+23)/2=19

19x9=171

If you want to decompose it into 2 triangles and a rectangle:

10=15x9=135

1/2(3)(9)=13.5

1/2(5)(9)=22.5

135+13.5+22.5=171 also

Polygon CCC has an area of 404040 square units. K 2ennan drew a scaled version of Polygon CCC using a scale factor of \dfrac12 1
nikdorinn [45]

Answer:

<em>Area of polygon D = 10 square units</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Given:</u>

Polygon <em>C </em>has an area of 40 square units.

It is scaled with a scale factor of \frac{1}2 to form a new polygon D.

<u></u>

<u>To find:</u>

The area of polygon D = ?

<u>Solution:</u>

When any polygon is scaled to half, then all the sides of new polygon are half of the original polygon.

And the area becomes one-fourth of the original polygon.

Let us consider this by taking examples:

  • First of all, let us consider a right angled triangle with sides <em>6, 8 and 10 units.</em>

Area of a right angled triangle is given by:

A = \dfrac{1}{2} \times Base \times Height\\\Rightarrow A = \dfrac{1}{2} \times 6 \times 8 = 24\ sq\ units

If scaled with a factor \frac{1}{2}, the sides will be 3, 4 and 5.

New area, A':

A' =\dfrac{1}{2} \times 3 \times 4 = 6\ sq\ units = \dfrac{1}4\times A

i.e. Area becomes one fourth.

  • Let us consider a rectangle now.

Sides be 8 and 10 units.

Area of a rectangle, A = Length \times Width = 8 \times 10 = 80 sq units.

Now after scaling, the sides will be 4 and 5 units.

New Area, A' = 4 \times 5 =20 sq units

So, \bold{A' = \frac{1}4 \times A}

Now, we can apply the same in the given question.

\therefore Area of polygon D = \bold{\frac{1}{4}}\times Area of polygon C

Area of polygon D = \bold{\frac{1}{4}}\times 40 = <em>10 sq units</em>

Can someone please. Heck my answer if it’s wrong please answer it correctly and please show work first pic is the question and 2
PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

Correct

Step-by-step explanation:

4y = 3x Divide each side by 4

4y ÷ 4 = 1y

3x ÷ 4 = 0.75x

12y = 9x Divide each side by 12

12y ÷ 12 = 1y

9x ÷ 12 = 0.75x

We can see in both equations that 1y = 0.75x

(1y = just y) So the constant of proportionality can be written as y = 0.75x

All of your explanations and descriptions are accurate.
