At Best Burgers, Jack collected sales data on the type of side order served with each type of burger purchased for a week. Jack

serves a half pound of onion rings with every kind of burger. If Jack sells 120 bacon cheeseburgers total, about how many pounds of onion rings will he serve with them? (round to nearest whole number)At a mall food court, the first 40 orders for the day are given below. • 22 pizza slices • 8 hamburgers • 4 hot dogs • 6 fried chicken Based on this information, how many hamburger orders could be expected from 300 customers?

The <em><u>correct answers</u></em> are:

60 pounds of onion rings and 60 hamburgers.

Explanation:

Jack serves a half pound of onion rings with every burger.  He serves 120 bacon cheeseburgers.  To find the number of pounds of onion rings, we multiply 1/2 pound by 120 burgers:

1/2(120) = 1/2(120/1) = (1*120)/(2*1) = 120/2 = 60 pounds of onion rings.

There were 8 hamburgers served out of the first 40 orders.  If this rate continues, then to find the number of hamburgers out of 300 orders, we multiply 8/40 by 300:

8/40(300) = 8/40(300/1) = (8*300)/(40*1) = 2400/40 = 60

There would be 60 hamburgers.

Question:   <em><u>At Best Burgers, Jack collected sales data on the type of side order served with each type of burger purchased for a week.  </u></em>

<em><u> Jack serves a half pound of onion rings with every kind of burger.  </u></em>

<em><u> If Jack sells 120 bacon cheeseburgers total, about how many pounds of onion rings will he serve with them? (round to nearest whole number)</u></em>

<h2>Answer:    The answer is C) 30 pounds</h2><h2></h2>

Step by step explanation:

Bacon cheeseburger with onion rings:

\frac{40}{(41 + 40)} = \frac{40}{81} = 0.4938

after that,  120 x 0.4938 = 59.256

then,  59.256 x .50 = 29.628

So 29.628 rounded is 30 and that is C

the relationship between feet and inches is a function. Write an equation that shows how to find the number of inches (n, output
BigorU [14]

Answer: One foot = 12in. Two Feet = 24in. Three Feet = 36in. Four Feet = 48in.

Step-by-step explanation: So there is 12 inches in one foot. In two feet it is just double so 24 inches. In three it is just triple so 36 inches and in four you just do 12 times 4 so 48 inches.

The length between the bases on a Major League Baseball diamond is 90 feet. Allyson wants to make a scale drawing of a baseball
Vinil7 [7]

Answer:

\text{The scale is }\frac{1}{432}

Step-by-step explanation:

Length between the bases on a major league diamond = 90 feet

1 feet = 12 inches

90 feet = 90 × 12

             = 1080 inches

Length between the bases on a major league baseball diamond on scale drawing = 2.5 inches

\text{Scale factor = }\frac{\text{Actual length}}{\text{Scale length}}\\\\\text{Scale factor = }\frac{1080}{2.5}=432

\text{Hence, the scale is }\frac{1}{432}

Hypothesis Testing for Means with Small Samples
Scorpion4ik [409]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello!

The variable of interest is

X: volume of root beer in a Windsor Bottling Company can.

A sample of n=24 cans was taken and their contents measured, resulting:

X[bar]= 11.4 oz

S= 0.62 oz

Assuming that the variable has a normal distribution X~N(μ;σ²), the parameter of interest is the average contents of the root beer cans of the Windsor Bottling Company (μ)

The claim is that the population mean content of the cans is different from 12 oz, symbolically: μ ≠ 12

The statistical hypothesis (Null and alternative) have to be complementary, exhaustive and mutually exclusive. The null hypothesis is the "no change" hypothesis and always carries the "=" sign.

If the claim is μ ≠ 12, its complement is μ = 12, the expression carrying the "=" sign will be the null hypothesis and its complement will be the alternative hypothesis:

H₀: μ = 12

H₁: μ ≠ 12

α: 0.05

To test the population mean of this normal population, you have to apply a one sample t-test, with statistic:

t= \frac{X[bar]-Mu}{\frac{S}{\sqrt{n} } } ~t_{n-1}

t_{H_0}= \frac{11.4-12}{\frac{0.62}{\sqrt{24} } } = -4.74

This test is two-tailed, using the critical value approach, you have to determine two rejection regions. Meaning, you'll reject the null hypothesis to small values of the statistic or to high values of the statistic.

t_{n-1;\alpha /2}= t_{23;0.025}= -2.069

t_{n-1;1-\alpha /2}= t_{23;0.975}= 2.069

The decision rule is:

If t_{H_0} ≤ -2.069 or if t_{H_0} ≥ 2.069, then you reject the null hypothesis.

If -2.069 < t_{H_0} < 2.069, then you do not reject the null hypothesis.

The value is less than the left critical value, the decision is to reject the null hypothesis.

Then you can say that with a 5% significance level, there is significant evidence to reject the null hypothesis, then the average amount of root beer of the Windsor Bottling Company is different from 12 oz, this means that the claim about the amount of root beer in the cans is correct.

I hope it helps!

Factor completely.
tatyana61 [14]

Answer:

A.) (7t³ + 2k^4)(7t³ - 2k^4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Factor the following:

49 t^6 - 4 k^8

49 t^6 - 4 k^8 = (7 t^3)^2 - (2 k^4)^2:

(7 t^3)^2 - (2 k^4)^2

Factor the difference of two squares. (7 t^3)^2 - (2 k^4)^2 = (7 t^3 - 2 k^4) (7 t^3 + 2 k^4):

Answer:  (7 t^3 - 2 k^4) (7 t^3 + 2 k^4)
