Answer: True

Abiotic factors are the non-living factors which play important role for sustaining life on earth. These includes water, soil, air and sunlight. Water is important for all the trophic levels of the food chain. Water is the necessary ingredient of the available biomass in all the trophic levels. The large part of the body weight in all the organism consists of water. In the absence of water the organisms may not survive and they will die. If the organisms from the lower trophic levels decline in number then the dependent organisms of the higher trophic level will also decline.

Therefore, the statement Abiotic factors, like water, are critical to most food chains. is true.

A wolf's diploid number of chromosomes is 78. How would the number of chromosomes in the wolf's body cells compare to the number
dimulka [17.4K]

Answer: The number of chromosomes in the wolf's body cells is 78 while the gametes has 39

Explanation:

Since each body cell under only mitosis to yield two daughter cells with equal number of chromosome as the parent cell (i.e diploid number, 2n) while sex cells undergo meiosis to yield four daughter cells with half the number of chromosomes as the parent cell (i.e haploid number, n); thus, the wolf's body cells has 78 chromosomes while the gametes has 39 chromosomes.

What is the interrelationship between photosynthesis and cellular respiration?
Kamila [148]
Photosynthesis makes the glucose that is used in cellular respiration to make ATP. The glucose is then turned back into carbon dioxide, which is used in photosynthesis. While water is broken down to form oxygen during photosynthesis, in cellular respiration oxygen is combined with hydrogen to form water.
