How to add fractions with different denominators khan academy?
2 answers:
You have to find the least common denominator between the two fractions. if you had 1/2 + 1/4 then the lcd is 4 so you multiply both the top and the bottom by 4. you get 2/4+ 1/4. Then you add across the top and get 3/4.
You have to find the LCD with the two fractions. Then you add the numarator an the denominator of the fraction.
