What is the most likely effect a decrease of plant life in the biosphere would have on the atmosphere?
balu736 [363]
The answer is b. A decrease in plant life would cause carbon dioxide levels to increase and oxygen levels to decrease.

In the photosynthesis, plants take carbon dioxide and water and convert it into glucose and oxygen using the energy of sunlight. A decrease of plant life in the biosphere will increase a level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Fewer plants mean fewer photosynthesis processes, and, thus, decreased levels of oxygen in the atmosphere.

Some people use paint to protect the outside of their houses. Why does a house painted a dark color get hotter than a house pain
Trava [24]

Answer:

Dark color absorb more photons and thus gets more hot

Explanation:

Dark color is dark b/c it absorbs different wavelengths of light (think about little photons of light vibrating slighting differently) .This means it absorbs a lot of photons which makes it warmer.

If a thing is white, that means it reflects all lights and absorbs none. Thus, since it does not absorb photons (little packets of energy which is light), the house does not get warm.

How does a hot spot make a volcano?
Leni [432]
A hot spot is a region deep within the Earth's mantle from which heat rises through the process of convection. This heat facilitates the melting of rock. The melted rock, known as magma, often pushes through cracks in the crust to form volcanoes. ... Instead it occurs at abnormally hot centers known as mantle plumes.
