5 quality attributes of cassava root
kirill115 [55]

Answer:

This study aimed to identify cassava quality attributes preferred by users along the food chain, in order to provide breeders with criteria for prioritisation. Survey and consumer‐testing studies were conducted within Apac and Luwero districts in Uganda. Additionally, sensory evaluation by trained panellists was conducted to determine descriptors for assessing quality of boiled roots. Results revealed softness of boiled roots and in‐ground storability as key attributes influencing varietal preference besides high yield, non‐bitter roots, disease resistance, early maturity and drought resistance. For some attributes like in‐ground storability, preference differed significantly between locations and showed differentiation by gender. Local varieties were found to be superior in quality attributes. From sensory evaluation, twenty‐one descriptors associated with appearance, texture, taste and aroma of boiled roots were determined. Findings from this study are vital for breeders to adopt gender‐responsive approaches in order to develop varieties that meet the needs and preferences of end users.

Erpetual Inventory Using Weighted Average
crimeas [40]

The weighted average unit cost is $10.61.

The cost of goods sold on October 29 is  $2,122.39.

The inventory on October 21 is $3138.

<h3>What is the average weighted cost?
</h3>

The weighted cost of goods sold = [(310 x 9) + ($12 x 360)] / (360 + 310)

(2790 +4320) / 670

7,110 / 670 = $10.61

Cost of the goods sold on October 29 =  average unit cost x number of goods sold

$10.61 x 200 = $2,122.39

Inventory on October 21 = ending inventory  x average cost

ending inventory = total inventory - total inventory sold

  • total inventory = 310 + 360 = 670 units
  • total inventory sold = 170 + 200 = 370 units
  • ending inventory = 670 - 370 = 300 units

Inventory on October 21 = 300 units x 10.61 = $3,183

101<br>d Discuss whether or not gold rings can carry out the functions of money. (8)
lana66690 [7]

Answer:

Money is called any element that works in a given territory as a method of exchange of wealth and as a reserve of value, that is, it can be exchanged between individuals for other goods, and that in turn can be accumulated by each individual to add to your personal wealth. In this context, almost any item that has been commonly accepted as having these characteristics can be considered money. However, there are circumstances in which, either due to their lack of storage practicality, or their high value in itself, certain elements escape this possibility. This is the case of a gold ring, whose excessively high value and the impossibility of its fractionation take away the possibility of being used as a method of exchange.
