3x + 2y = 12 ----(i)
2x + 2y = 10 ----(ii)

Subtracting (ii) from (i),

x = 2

Now putting the value of x= 2 in (i),
3 x 2 + 2y = 12
6 + 2y = 12
2y = 6
y = 3

The value of x = 2 , y = 3

Here, 3x + 2y = 12
2x + 2y = 10

Subtract 2nd from 1st equation,
x = 2

Now, substitute in 2nd,
2(2) + 2y = 10
2y = 10 - 4
y = 6/2
y = 3

In short, Your Answer would be: (2, 3)

Hope this helps!

Samantha needs 4/5 yard of fabric to make costumes for the school play. Write and solve and equation to find how many costumes s
ArbitrLikvidat [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Samantha needs 4/5 yard of fabric to make costumes for the school play.

Let x represent the number of yards of fabric that she has

Let y represent the total number of costumes that she can make from x yards of fabric.

Since one costume require 4/5 yards of fabric, y costumes will require

x ÷ 4/5 = x×5/4 = 5x/4

The equation will be

y = 5x/4

to find how many costumes she can make with 8 yards of fabric, it becomes

y = (5×8)/4

y = 40/4 = 10

Calculate the side lengths a and b to two decimal places
muminat

Answer:

Option (D)

Step-by-step explanation:

In the picture attached,

An obtuse angle triangle ABC has been given.

By applying Sine rule in the triangle,

\frac{\text{SinB}}{b}=\frac{\text{SinA}}{a}=\frac{\text{SinC}}{c}

Since, m∠A + m∠B + m∠C = 180°

45° + 110° + m∠C = 180°

m∠C = 180°- 155° = 25°

\frac{\text{Sin110}}{b}=\frac{\text{Sin45}}{a}=\frac{\text{Sin25}}{7}

\frac{\text{Sin110}}{b}=\frac{\text{Sin45}}{a}=0.060374

\frac{\text{Sin110}}{b}=0.060374

b = \frac{\text{Sin110}}{0.060374}

b = 15.56

b ≈ 15.56

\frac{\text{Sin45}}{a}=0.060374

a = \frac{\text{Sin45}}{0.060374}

a = 11.712

a = 11.71

Therefore, Option (D) will be the answer.
