Surface Area (S.A.) is the area of all of the faces.
The base is square so its area is: side² = 8 cm x 8 cm = 64 cm²
The faces are triangles so the area of ONE face is: (1/2) x base x height =
(1/2)(8 cm)(14 cm) = 56 cm²

The sum of all of the faces are 64 cm² + 4(56 cm²) = 64 + 224 = 288 cm²

Answer: the surface area of the square pyramid is 288 cm²

Proving Angles Congruent: Find the value of x. (5x+15) degrees = (6x-10) degrees
Andrew [12]

Answer:

25 = x

Step-by-step explanation:

If the angles are congruent, they are equal

5x+15 = 6x-10

Subtract 5x from each side

5x+15 -5x = 6x-5x-10

15 = x-10

Add 10 to each side

15+10 = x-10+10

25 = x
