Answer:

Patrick Henry argues an "appeal to arms and the God of Hosts is all that is left us" to emphasize on the need of the American people to arm and to appeal to them to start preparing themselves to fight for their own freedom against the government that they are under.

Explanation:

Patrick Henry was an attorney and a great orator who famously gave the speech "Give me liberty, or give me death". This speech given at the Second Virginia Convention in 1775 led to the successful deployment of Virginia troops to the Revolutionary War against Great Britain.

In his now-famous speech, Henry stressed the need to fights against British power over the American colonies. He stressed on the need to arm themselves and fight for their own rights, for the British empire only cares about her own gains despite their implication that they are working for the development of the colonies. He stated that the American people have nothing else except "An appeal to arms and to the God of Hosts is all that is left us", implying the need to arm themselves and appeal to God (God of Hosts being a reference to the Christian God, the Holy Trinity) for help and courage. This statement shows the loss of faith in the British monarchy and the need to work for their own independence and rights, and they have nowhere else to turn to for that help except to God.
