First, we need to see what 1/5 of a minute is.
60÷5=12
So, there's 3/4 of a gallon every 12 seconds. We need to multiply 3/4 by 5 to find every minute.
3/4×5=15/4=3 3/4
.But, you can tell that he multiplied 3/4 by 1/5, which is not right since you're suppose to do it by 5. But the answer is 3 1/2 gallon per minute.

What is (2v+5)(2v-5)
DedPeter [7]

Answer:

4v^2-25

Step-by-step explanation:

(2v+5)(2v-5)

Using (a-b)(a+b)=a^2-b^2, simplify the product

(2v)^2-5^2

To raise a <u>product to a power</u>, raise each factor to that power.

4v^2-5^2

Evaluate the <u>power.</u>

4v^2-25

On Sunday, Sheldon bought 4 1/2 kg of plant food. He used 1 2/3 kg on his strawberry plants and used 1/4 kg for his tomato plant
VladimirAG [237]

Answer:

a) 2\frac{7}{12} kg of plant food did Sheldon have left.

b) She need is \frac{43}{12} kg and she don't have enough to left.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : On Sunday, Sheldon bought 4\frac{1}{2} kg of plant food. He used 1\frac{2}{3} kg on his strawberry plants and used \frac{1}{4} kg for his tomato plants.

To find :

a) How many kilograms of plant food did Sheldon have left? Write one or more equations to show how you reached your answer.

Solution :

Sheldon bought plant food 4\frac{1}{2}=\frac{9}{2} kg.

He used strawberry plants 1\frac{2}{3}=\frac{5}{3} kg.

He used tomato plants \frac{1}{4} kg

Kilograms of plant food did Sheldon have left is given by,

L=\frac{9}{2}-(\frac{5}{3}+\frac{1}{4})

L=\frac{9}{2}-\frac{23}{12}

L=\frac{54-23}{12}

L=\frac{31}{12}

L=2\frac{7}{12}

Therefore, 2\frac{7}{12} kg of plant food did Sheldon have left.

b) Sheldon wants to feed his strawberry plants 2 more times and his tomato plants one more time. He will use the same amounts of plant food as before. How much plant food will he need? Does he have enough left to do so?

Solution :

Sheldon wants to feed his strawberry plants 2 more times.

i.e. Strawberry plants used is 2(\frac{5}{3})=\frac{10}{3} kg.

His tomato plants one more time i.e. \frac{1}{4} kg.

Total plant she need is \frac{10}{3}+\frac{1}{4}=\frac{43}{12}

As \frac{31}{12}

No she don't have enough to left.

Write each fraction in simplest form if the fraction is in simplest form write simplest form from 1-12
erica [24]
15. would be 1/2 because if you simplify 16/32 to 8/16 (dividing by 2 each time), then to 4/8, then 2/4, and lastly 1/2

you really dont need to do all of that because 16/32 is already 1/2 (16 is half of
32)

16. the answer would be 7/12 because if you divide 21/36 both by 3 you get 7/12 and you cant go any more simpler.

Anon25 [30]

Step-by-step explanation and answer:

For this you just need to plug in x for y = f(1/5x)

1/5(-4) = -4/5 or -0.8

1/5(-1) = -1/5 or -0.2

1/5(0) = 0

1/5(3) = 3/5 or 0.6

1/5(6) = 6/5 or 1.2 or 1 1/5
