5 0

Answer:

10 sculptures

Step-by-step explanation:

He makes 1 sculpture for every 5 paintings. We can break it down like this to simplify:

We know that if he made 50 paintings in total, thats 10 groups of five paintings (5x10=50)

For every group of 5 paintings, he makes one sculpture

So if there are 10 groups of five paintings, he made 10 sculptures.

Use the discriminant to determine how many real number solutions exist for the quadratic equation –4j2 + 3j – 28 = 0. A. 3 B. 2
Zepler [3.9K]

Answer:

C. 0

Step-by-step explanation:

–4j^2 + 3j – 28 = 0

The discriminant is b^2-4ac  if >0 we have 2 real solutions

                                                   =0  we have 1 real solutions

                                                   <0 we have 2 imaginary solutions

a = -4, b =3  c = -28

b^2 -4ac

(3)^2 - 4(-4)*(-28)

9 - 16(28)

9 -448

This will be negative so we have two imaginary solutions.

Therefore we have 0 real solutions

Bruce has a rope that is 21 feet long he needs to cut the rope into 1/5 long peices. How many strips can Bruce cut from his rope
dybincka [34]

Bruce has a rope that is 21 feet long he needs to cut the rope into 1/5 long pieces.

The length of the rope = 21 feet

the length of each strip = \frac{1}{5}

We need to cut the rope 21 feet into \frac{1}{5} strips

To find the number of strips we divide 21 feet by the length of the strip

\frac{21}{\frac{1}{5}} = 21 * \frac{5}{1} = 105

105 strips can Bruce cut from his rope.
