Answer:

Deuterostomes

Explanation:

Echinoderms and jellyfish both are radially symmetrical unlike humans which are bilaterally symmetrical but still echinoderms are much more closely related to humans as compared to jellyfish. It is because echinoderms are deuterostomes just like humans which means that their anus is generated from the blastopore. In contrast to this, jellyfish is a protostome which means that its mouth is generated from blastopore. Radial symmetry is an important feature when it comes to comparing animals but being deuterostomes and protostomes is much more important when it comes to estimating evolutionary relationships of organisms.

Part of cortisol’s role in the body involves passing through the plasma membrane to initiate signaling inside a cell. Describe h
AlladinOne [14]

Answer:

Small and lipid soluble cortisol can pass through nonpolar core of the plasma membrane.

Explanation:

Cortisol is a lipid-soluble steroid hormone with a compact structure. The plasma membrane is a bilayer of phospholipids.

The phospholipids are amphipathic molecules with a polar head and nonpolar tails. The nonpolar tails of the two layers of phospholipids are packed away from the watery medium and make the core of the plasma membrane.

Being a lipid-soluble hormone with a small structure, cortisol can pass through the nonpolar core of the plasma membrane easily to activate its receptors and alter the gene expression.

madreJ [45]

Answer:

Explanation:

Instead, they can sense light through their skin. These natural light sensors let the earthworms know when they are getting too close to a bright light, such as the sun. Earthworms try to stay out of sunlight because the heat from the sun dries out their skin.
