The first Thanksgiving took place in 1621. The feast lasted for three whole days, with the presence of 53 Pilgrims and 90 Native Americans. Thanksgiving was originally celebrated for the Pilgrims successful season of harvesting. Some food they had on Thanksgiving was duck and venison, squash, corn, onions, seafood, etc.
