Answer: (43) 16

              (44) y = -(9/4)x = 6

             (45) parallel:  y = 2x - 4

         perpendicular:  y = -(1/2)x - 5/2

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

43)      f(x) = (1/3)x + 8

        f(-12) = (1/3)(-12) + 8

                 = -4 + 8

                 = 4

      3f(-12) = 3(4)

                = 12

3f(-12) + 4 = 12 + 4

                = 16

44) slope (m) = \dfrac{-3-(-12)}{4-8}=\dfrac{9}{-4}

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)\\\\\\y-(-3)=-\dfrac{9}{4}(x-4)\\\\\\y+3=-\dfrac{9}{4}x+9\\\\\\y=-\dfrac{9}{4}x+6

45) parallel is same slope   →   m = 2

    perpendicular is opposite reciprocal slope   →   m=-\dfrac{1}{2}

parallel

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)\\\\\\y-(-2)=2(x-1)\\\\\\y+2=2x-2\\\\\\y=2x-4

perpendicular

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)\\\\\\y-(-2)=-\dfrac{1}{2}(x-1)\\\\\\y+3=-\dfrac{1}{2}x+\dfrac{1}{2}\\\\\\y=-\dfrac{1}{2}x-\dfrac{5}{2}

The following set of random numbers represents 20 simulations of three daily
babunello [35]

The number of simulations in which was there was an on-time departure for all three flights is; 6

<h3>How to carry out number simulations?</h3>

We are given;

Number of Simulations = 20

Numbers that represent late departure = 0, 1, 2 or 3

Numbers that represent On-time departure = 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9.

Now, the 20 simulations as seen online are;

339 931 317 444 432 858 194 192 649 709

742 626 702 258 955 880 505 854 774 132

To know the number of simulations that were on-time departure, we need to find the ones that don't include 0, 1, 2 or 3.

Looking at the simulations, the ones that represent on-time departure are 444, 858, 649, 955, 854, 774.

Thus, there are 6 simulations in which was there an on-time departure for all three flights

Find the Simple Linear Regression Formula of the data set shown below: (10pts)
ANEK [815]

Uisng technology, such as a linear regression calculator or excel , the linear equation in slope - intercept format which models the data is 171.47x - 125.83

The relationship between <em>advertising cost</em><em> </em><em>and</em><em> </em><em>e-commerce</em><em> </em>sales is positive which can be inferred from the positive value of the slope which models the data. Also, since, the correlation Coefficient is high, we can expect to have a high e-commerce sales whenever, the advertising cost is high.

Therefore, the linear regression equation is 171.47x - 125.83
