The lobe of the cerebral cortex of the brain responsible for most higher cortical functions such as thought processing, consciousness, and voluntary movement is the frontal lobe. The frontal lobe is also involved in other cortical functions such as judgement, calculation, and impulse. 

<em>The specific area for thought processing is the Brodmann area 45 in the inferior frontal gyrus. The specific area for voluntary movement is Brodmann area 6 in the premotor cortex. There is no specific area for consciousness in the frontal lobe.</em>
