Theorem of Al' Kashi (genralized pythagorean theorem) will help us

a²=b²+c²-2bc cosA  ==>49=49+25-2*7*5*cos A
==>cos A=25/70=5/14 ==>
A=69,075167572361683699967605141899 °≈69°

b²=a²+c²-2ac cos B ==> 49=49+25-2*7*5 * cos B==>cos B=5/14
B=A (triangle is isocele ==> a second method)

C=180-2*69=42°

II)
The triangle isocele is formed with 2 right triangles.
(base=5/2 hypotenuse=7)

cos B=(5/2)/7=5/14 (the same) ==>B=69°
A=B=69°
C=42°

Which of the following statements is not true? a) The standard deviation of the sampling distribution of sample mean = σ/√n b) T
I am Lyosha [343]

Answer:

e) The mean of the sampling distribution of sample mean is always the same as that of X, the distribution from which the sample is taken.

Step-by-step explanation:

The central limit theorem states that

"Given a population with a finite mean μ and a finite non-zero variance σ2, the sampling distribution of the mean approaches a normal distribution with a mean of μ and a variance of σ2/N as N, the sample size, increases."

This means that as the sample size increases, the sample mean of the sampling distribution of means approaches the population mean.  This does not state that the sample mean will always be the same as the population mean.

janice invests a total of 8000 in two different accounts. the first account returns 5%, while the second account returns 8%. if
Zinaida [17]

Answer:

"She invested $2500 in 5% account and $5500 in 8% account"

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the amount invested in 5% account be "x"

So, the amount invested in 8% account would be "8000 - x"

Interest amount is the percentage multiplied by amount invested. So

Interest of 5% account = 5% of x = 0.05x

Interest of 8% account = 8 % of 8000 - x = 0.08(8000 - x)

Total interest is the sum of these 2 expressions that EQUATES to 565 (given). Let's solve for x:

0.05x + 0.08(8000 - x) = 565\\0.05x+640-0.08x=565\\0.03x=75\\x=2500

and thus,

"8000 - x" = 8000 - 2500 = 5500

Hence,

She invested $2500 in 5% account and $5500 in 8% account
