x = 4 and x = - 9

In both cases the angles inside the parallel lines are same sided interior angles

24x - 1 + 20x + 5 = 180

44x + 4 = 180 (subtract 4 from both sides )

44x = 176 ( divide both sides by 44 )

x = \frac{176}{44} = 4

Similarly

x + 109 + x + 89 = 180

2x + 198 = 180 ( subtract 198 from both sides )

2x = - 18

x = \frac{-18}{2} = - 9

Someone help! It is urgent!!!
djverab [1.8K]

Answer:

a. f(-1)=12

b. f(2t)=16t²-6t+5

c. f(t-2)=4t²-19t+27

Step-by-step explanation:

For a, b, c, we are given an input. We plug that into f(x) to find our answers.

a.  f(-1)=12

f(-1)=4(-1)²-3(-1)+5

f(-1)=4+3+5

f(-1)=12

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

b. f(2t)=16t²-6t+5

f(2t)=4(2t)²-3(2t)+5

f(2t)=4(4t²)-6t+5

f(2t)=16t²-6t+5

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

c. f(t-2)=4t²-19t+27

f(t-2)=4(t-2)²-3(t-2)+5

f(t-2)=4(t²-4t+4)-3t+6+5

f(t-2)=4t²-16t+16-3t+6+5

f(t-2)=4t²-19t+27

What is the slope of the line that passes through the points(-5,-9) and (-5,-13)? Write your answer in simplest form.
Valentin [98]

Answer:

slope is undefined

ex. a straight vertical line like x = 2 would have an undefined slope

Step-by-step explanation:

formula is

y2-y1 / x2-x1

-13 + 9 / -5 + 5

-4 / 0

slope is undefined

straight vertical line like x = 2 would have an undefined slope

undefined slope is the slope of any vertical line that goes up or down. There is no horizontal movement and hence the denominator is zero while calculating the slope. Thus the slope of the line is undefined.

Given line l and line M are parallel. Find the value of x and y.
Liula [17]

Answer:

x = 4

y = 10

Step-by-step explanation:

29x - 3 + 15x + 7 = 180 (Linear Pair)

44x + 4 = 180

44x + 4 = 180 - 4

44x = 176

\frac{44x}{44} = \frac{176}{44}

x = 4

29(4) - 3

116 - 3

113

13y - 17 = 113 (Alternate Exterior Angles Theorem)

13y - 17 + 17= 113 + 17

13y = 130

\frac{13y}{13} = \frac{130}{13}

y = 10
