This is a socio-linguistic model that was proposed by Allen Bell in 1984. She proposed that the linguistic shifting occur first when giving a response to the public or audience. This is a model in which a speaker, first of all, shifts his speech according to the solidarity of pubic so he can make intimacy with the public.
