Effective lifting technique is a lifting technique with proactive and holistic approach that involves workers in the risk management process, because the workers know their job best and are experts in performing their work tasks. In an effective lifting technique the hazardous manual tasks are identified, the risk is assesed, controls are implemented and the situation is monitored and reviewed.
