In every case, use the secant rule for chords: the product of the lengths on either side of the pont of intersection is the same.

Left-to-right, top-to-bottom:
1. 8x = 6*10
.. x = 60/8 = 7.5 (M)

2. 2x = 4*6
.. x = 24/2 = 12 (Y)

3. 16x = 4*14
.. x = 56/16 = 3.5 (T)

4. x² = 4*9
.. x = √36 = 6 (W)

5. 4x = 2*8 . . . . . . the diameter is 10. It is divided into parts that are 2 and 8.
.. x = 16/4 = 4 (A)

6. 6x = 7*13 . . . . .. same as previous. The overall length of 20 is divided into parts that are 7 and 13.
.. x = 91/6 ≈ 15.2 (D)

_____
The letter sequence makes no sense to me. I expect it is supposed to spell something intelligible.

Hello! Sorry this is a little late, but hopefully it can help others who visit this question!

I believe the answers would be "approaches y = 0" and "increases without bond".

I can confirm these answers are 100% correct!

Hope this helped :)

If the area of a circle is 58 square feet, find the circumference. A. 42.5 ft. B. 4.25 ft. C. 22.35 ft. D. 26.99 ft.
PSYCHO15rus [73]

Answer: OPTION D.

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for calculate the circumference of a circle is:

C=2r\pi

Where <em>r</em> is the radius.

The formula for calculate the area of a circle is:

A=r^2\pi

Where <em>r</em> is the radius.

Solve for <em>r</em> from A=r^2\pi to calculate it:

r=\sqrt{\frac{A}{\pi}}\\r=\sqrt{\frac{58ft^2}{\pi}}\\r=4.296ft

Subsitute the radius into C=2r\pi. Then:

C=(2)(4.296ft)\pi=26.99ft
