If you are calm, your body often focuses on digesting, so your saliva production would increase - "increase" is the best word for the first gap.

Your blood pressure would also drop when you're calm and rise when you're aroused - so the correct answer  to the second gap is "drop"

The parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) is the part of the autonomic nervous system which calms the body, which is the precise opposite of the sympathetic part. We know that we are becoming more calm when our parasympathetic nervous system causes saliva to increase and blood pressure to decrease. The PNS relaxes the body, lowers the heart rate and blood pressure and the reduces muscle tension.
