Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the blue triangle is the image as it has the ' on the letters. For example G'.

To first start off, you can look at any points to help solve this problem. I used the point H to help me solve this

Since we know that the black triangle is our old image we know the distance in x values between the black triangle to the blue is -2 as it moves to the left 2 times. (Note: it's going more into the negatives, if it were going to the right it would be positive)

Now we do the same to find our y values, and we see that y value for h on the black triangle goes up +1.

Now we know that the X goes to the left two times to get -2 and that the Y goes up once to get +1.

Hope this helps! :)

Answer:

b. (x - 2, y + 1)

Step-by-step explanation:

You can make that determination visually. However, if you need numbers...

Pick a point on the black triangle, let's say F(0, 0) and the corresponding point on the blue tirangle F(-2, 1)

(y₁ + y₂) / (x₁ + x₂) = (0 + 1) / (0 + (-2)) = 1 / -2

\frac{rise}{run} = -\frac{1}{2}

So, from the F(0,0) position move -2 to the left then up 1 to land on F(-2, 1).

This translated to (x - 2, y + 1)

B(\stackrel{x_1}{8}~,~\stackrel{y_1}{0})\qquad C(\stackrel{x_2}{9}~,~\stackrel{y_2}{-8}) ~\hfill BC=\sqrt{[ 9- 8]^2 + [ -8- 0]^2} \\\\\\ BC=\sqrt{1^2+(-8)^2}\implies \boxed{BC=\sqrt{65}}

now, we could check for the CA distance, however, we already know that AB ≠ BC, so there's no need.

Vlad1618 [11]

Answer:

$44

Step-by-step explanation:

Use formula

% out of 100/100% = part/whole

20%/100 = 12/16+x

Cross multiply

(12)(100) = (20)(16+x)

1200=320+20x

Solve for x

1200-320 = 20x

880 = 20x

880/20 = x

44 = x

Jim's lunch was $44.
