The Tea Act 1773 was established by the Parliament of Great Britain as a way to decrease the amount of tea that had been held by the British East India Company and at the same time, help the company to survive. Finally, the Tea Act gave the company the possibility to carry the tea to North America, as well as the right to export tea from Britain without paying taxes.
