PQ is a radius, as it reaches the center and an edge. So is PR, just in a different location. They are the same length because the edges of a circle is equidistant from the center. Given that circle P is congruent to circle Q, QR is a radius that is the same length as the two other sides. So, all of the sides have the same lengths. That means that the triangle is equilateral.

Answer:

PQR is an equilateral triangle because its sides are equal. ... Since radius of the incircle is equal to the side length of the hexagon, all sides of the triangle are equal, thus, creating an equilateral triangle. I hope this helped.

The figures below are similar. the area of the larger trapezoid is 121m^2. Find the area of the smaller trapezoid to the nearest
DENIUS [597]

Answer:

54 square meters

Step-by-step explanation:

Similar figures have corresponding lengths as equal ratios.

Smaller trapezoid's base is given 12 and larger trapezoids base is given 18, so the scale factor is 12k=18\\k=\frac{18}{12}\\k=1.5

this means the lengths of larger is 1.5 times lengths of smaller.

In terms of area, the scale factor is squared. Hence the scale factor for area is k^2=(1.5)^2=2.25

this means the area of larger is 2.25 times the area of smaller.

Now, Let area of smaller trapezoid be x so we can say: x(2.25)=121\\x=\frac{121}{2.25}\\x=53.78

to nearest square meter, x = 54 meters squared

As students move to thinking about formulas it supports their conceptual knowledge of how the perimeter of rectangles can be put
kolezko [41]

Answer:

B. P=l+w

Step-by-step explanation:

Let l represent length of rectangle and w represent width of rectangle.

We have been given four formulas for the perimeter of rectangle. We are asked to choose the formula that displays a common student error for finding the perimeter.

We know that perimeter of a polygon is sum of all sides of the polygon. We also know that rectangle is polygon having two sets of equal sides.

The perimeter, P, of rectangle will be sum of its all sides that is:

P=l+w+l+w

Combine like terms:

P=2l+2w

Factor out 2:

P=2(l+w)

Upon looking at our given choices, we can see that formula represented by option B displays a common student error for finding the perimeter.
