The Reign of Terror (1793–94) was the period of the French Revolution in which the Revolutionary government took severe actions against those presumed enemies of the Revolution. Louis-Antoine-Léon de Saint-Just, (1767 - 1794) was one of its most enthusiastic advocates. Eventually, he would end up being arrested and killed during the Thermidorian Reaction.
