Travis was attempting to make muffins to take to a neighbor that had just moved in down the street. The recipe that he was worki

ng with required 3/4 cup of sugar and 1/8 cup of butter. Travis accidentally put a whole cup of butter in the mix. A. What is the ratio of sugar to butter in the original recipe? What amount of sugar does Travis need to put into the mix to have the same ratio of sugar to butter that the original recipe calls for?

A. The ratio of cups of sugar to butter is 3/4 : 1/8. Then multiply both ratios by 8.

8 x 3/4 = 6,
8 x 1/8 = 1.
3/4 : 1/8 is equal to 6 : 1. Therefore, 6 cups of sugar needed when there is 1 cup of butter.

A bottled water distributor wants to determine whether the mean amount of water contained in 1-gallon bottles purchased from a n
mash [69]

Answer:

We fail to reject H0; Hence, we conclude that there is no significant evidence that the mean amount of water per gallon is different from 1.0 gallon

Pvalue = - 2

(0.98626 ; 1.00174)

Since, 1.0 exist within the confidence interval, then we can conclude that mean amount of water per gallon is 1.0 gallon.

Step-by-step explanation:

H0 : μ= 1

H1 : μ < 1

The test statistic :

(xbar - μ) / (s / sqrt(n))

(0.994 - 1) / (0.03/sqrt(100))

-0.006 / 0.003

= - 2

The Pvalue :

Pvalue form Test statistic :

P(Z < - 2) = 0.02275

At α = 0.01

Pvalue > 0.01 ; Hence, we fail to reject H0.

The confidence interval :

Xbar ± Margin of error

Margin of Error = Zcritical * s/sqrt(n)

Zcritical at 99% confidence level = 2.58

Margin of Error = 2.58 * 0.03/sqrt(100) = 0.00774

Confidence interval :

0.994 ± 0.00774

Lower boundary = (0.994 - 0.00774) = 0.98626

Upper boundary = (0.994 + 0.00774) = 1.00174

(0.98626 ; 1.00174)

Where will these 2 lines intersect?

y = 2x + 7 and x = y + 4
defon
To find the intersecting point, you have to put the two formulas equal to each other
First isolate the same variable, in this case y
So y=x-4

Now we can say
2x + 7 = x - 4

Now solve for x

X= 3

Now fill this in in either one of the formulas

Y= 2 (3) + 7
Y= 13

So they’ll intersect at (3,13)

arlik [135]
If he once traveled 36 hours and he takes 6 hour trips you do
10x3=30 so every six hours he takes 30 minute brakes then 36 divided by 6 equlas 6 you would do 30x6= the answer!!! (Btw i do 6th grade math)
