The correct answer is buildup of toxins.

One of the essential action of the liver is to process various kinds of toxins and to eliminate it out of the system of the organism. Although it is known as a toxin processor, it is not resistant to the toxins itself. As the liver is the main site for drug decontamination and stimulation, thus, the improper functioning of the liver may lead to the accumulation of toxins.

During coastal upwelling, nutrient-rich water rises from the ocean floor to the surface to replace water that has been blown awa
Firdavs [7]

Answer: A. Increase in temperature

Coastal upwelling is the process in which the deep water rises above the top most water level as the wind pushes water offshore. Nutrients which are present in the bottom layer get available to organisms living in the uppermost layer. The deeper water lacks oxygen because the decomposition of organic matter at the bottom of the water body consumes up available oxygen. Also, because of these water layer turnover will result in thermocline: temperature variation among the layers of water. Bottom layer water because of such decomposition processes will have more temperature when this water rises in the upper layer due to upwelling this will increase the temperature of the upper layer.

A molecule of cellulose cannot pass through the cell membrane, hypothesize why
RideAnS [48]

Answer:

Selective permeability is a property of a cell membrane that allows it to control which molecules can pass (moving into and out of the cell) through the pores of the membrane

Explanation:

The membrane is selectively permeable because substances do not cross it indiscriminately. Some molecules, such as hydrocarbons and oxygen can cross the membrane. Many large molecules (such as glucose, Celluloso and other sugars) cannot. Water can pass through between the lipids.

How come sharks have poor eye sight and why are they known to be the meanest sea creatures in the ocean?
slamgirl [31]
Hello,

As a matter of fact, sharks have extremely good eyesight. In fact, they can see surprisingly well in dark lighted areas. Did you know that a shark's eyesight is very similar to a human's eyesight?

Sharks are commonly mistreated as the meanest sea creature in the ocean because of their aggressive appearance. In my opinion, I believe the Killer Whale is the ocean's top killer.
