A man is on a game show. he is presented with two doors, one on the left, and one on the right. behind one is 2 million dollars,

and behind the other is a donkey. choose the correct door to win the prize. there are also two men in front of the doors, and they know which door leads to the millions. one wears a black hat, the other wears a white hat. the host explains that one of the men is a liar, and will always lie, and the other man will always tell the truth - but you don't know which is which. you can only ask one of the men only one question. what is the question, and which man do you ask to ensure you win the money?

Ask either of the men who are in front of the doors: "If you were the other man, which door would you tell me leads to the 2 million dollars?"

The truth-teller, positioning himself as a liar, will say the door which does not have the 2 million dollars.
The liar, positioning himself as a truth-teller, will also say the door which does not have the 2 million dollars because he is a liar.

Hmm.. That would be cool but quite dangerous. If you think about it, we could send them to war instead of our troops, saving thousands of lives.

An old proverb says honesty is the best policy. Sometimes, however, honesty might hurt a person’s feelings.
denis23 [38]

Answer:

Yes, honesty might hurt a person's feelings but there is something said about being honest. I agree that honesty is the best policy and that it is one of the key foundations that builds any lasting relationship. Honesty is a core value and says a lot about who we are as individuals. We spend a lot of time building trust in relationships but all it takes it one lie for a person to doubt you.

No one in their life seeks out someone who chooses to be dishonest. Rather, we all look for people who we can trust. Whether it is someone we can share minor details with or even share our most intimate secrets with. With honesty, comes reliability. Honesty breeds trustworthy people. When you feel that you can trust someone you are more likely to rely on that person for things in your life.

Honesty makes life easier. I'm sure we can all recall a time we have told a lie and how stressful that can be. Keeping a web of lies straight and untangled can become complicated. Dishonesty causes stress and frustration. It's just simply easier to tell the truth. Plus, I am sure we have all heard the saying, "Eventually in the end the truth comes out".

Honesty is also a sign of respect. When we choose honesty, we show someone a deep appreciation and love for them. Why lie to a person to spare their feelings when sometimes telling the truth could just make them a stronger person? This doesn't mean you have to use harsh words to convey your message. True friendships will value your opinions and seek your advice. When honesty is one of your core values it makes you more of an authentic persons. It's easy for people to put on a mask or pretend to be someone you are not. Honesty pushes us past those uncomfortable situations and forces us to be our true selves and forces us to stand up to/for uncomfortable situations at times.

I feel like honesty is an admirable trait but I truly believe you end up doing more good than harm. Giving them the truth they deserve than allowing them to live in deception and lies. People love consistency and it shows bravery. It takes a strong person to stand up to others and live the truth, to live an honest way. There is bravery in deciding to be honest.

When a book has an editor instead of an author, the researcher records only the title and publication information, not the name
photoshop1234 [79]
I think the answer would be 'False'.

A researcher should record all the information about the book, including and not limited to the title, author AND the editor. For other people who read this particular researcher's information, they may want to know everything, and/or it may be necessary that they know. Not only that, it's more fair/polite/correct to give credit to the editor.
