You need to buy apples that costs $1.40 per pound. the farmer sells her apples in bags, and your bag is 2.5 pounds. How much did
lana [24]

Answer:

$3.50

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's split 2.5 into 2 separate parts, 2 and .5. To find how much 2 pounds of apples cost, we have to multiply  $1.40 by 2. 1.40x2= 2.80. Now we have to figure out how much .5 pounds. To do this, we have to divide 1.40 by 2. We get .7. 2.80+ .7= $3.50 [or 3.5]

The radioactive substance cesium-137 has a half-life of 30 years. The amount A (t)(in grams) of a sample of cesium-137 remaining
lakkis [162]
Rather than use that formula, look at the attachment and use the 4th equation.

Ending Amount = Beginning Amount / 2^n
where "n" is the number of half-lives.  "n" = elapsed time / half-life
(Is 934 the beginning amount? Let's say it is.)

for 40 years, n=40/30 = 1.3333333...
Ending Amount = 934 / 2^1.3333333...
Ending Amount = 934 / <span> <span> <span> 2.5198420998 </span> </span> </span>
Ending Amount = <span> <span> <span> 370.66 grams
</span></span></span>
for 100 years, n=100/30 = <span> <span> <span> 3.333333 </span> </span> </span> ...
Ending Amount = 934 / 2^<span> <span> 3.333333 </span> </span> ...
Ending Amount = 934 / <span> <span> <span> 10.0793683992 </span> </span> </span>
Ending Amount = <span> <span> <span> 92.66 grams

PLEASE HELP ME. :( :(
STatiana [176]
Y = mx + b

4 = m(248) + b
6 = m(372) + b
subtract the two equations to get
-2 = m(-124) + 0
m = 1/62

Then plug in m into one of the equations to find b
4 = (1/62)(248) + b
4 = 4 + b
b = 0

So the equation is
y = (1/62)x + 0
or
y = (1/62)x
or
y = x/62

edit: I totally didn't use point slope. It should be
        y + 0 = (1/62)(x + 0)
        or  y = (1/62)x

(since b is 0, that means she started driving directly at home)

If m/8 =57, find m/1.
Valentin [98]

Answer:

696

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{m}{8}  = 87

First I would multiply each side by 8 to find what M is (because if you multiple m/8 by 8 the 8s will cancel out).

m=87*8\\m = 696

Because any number divided by 1 would just be itself, 696/1 is just 696.
