Alright, I have decided to do my best to help. So, first we need to break this up into shapes. First shape is half of a circle. We can see it on the top. So, our circle's diameter is four units, the radius is 2 units. Now, the formula for finnding the area of a circle is pi times radius squared. So, what is pi? Pi is 3.14. So, the equation is 3.14 x 2^2. So, using PEDMAS we know that exponets come before multiplication. So, 2 squared is 4. And four times 3.14 is 12.56. But, there's something special that I made note of earlier, this is half of a circle. So, we must divide by two. And 12.56 divided by 2 is 6.28. Just three more shapes to go!!! Next we have a trapazoid. Our trapazoid is made up of a ssquare and two triangles. Let's do our triangle on the left first. The formula for calculating the area of a trianlge is height times width divided by two. So, our triangle is three units tall and one unit wide. One times three equals three. Three divided by two is 1.5. That's that answer. Next is the triangle on the right. The triangle on the right is three units tall and two units wide. Three times two equals six and six divided by two is three. And last but not least is our square. It's three units tall and fouor units wide. Three times four is twelve. So, now we add up all our areas. 6.28 + 1.5 + 3 + 12 = 22.78 units^2. There's the asnwer!!! I hope this helped!! Sorry it took me a while to type out!!!
