Many investors began selling large amounts of their stock. This caused many of the companies to lose this stock and some of the funding acquired by these investors. These companies in turn had too much product, and not enough buyers. <span>So, many of the companies went downhill from this point on.</span>

repealed all of the new taxes they had levied on the colonists, with the
exception of the "sin" taxes, such as taxes on whiskey and tobacco.
