Why is Cuneiform hard to translate today?
ExtremeBDS [4]

Cuneiform is hard to translate today because it is one of the earliest forms of writing. The earlier it is, the fewer the people study it. Generation after generation, less people study it. Barely any people study it now. Since there are very few people that know cuneiform, it is hard to translate today.

ahrayia [7]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

When we say that India has contributed to the development, peace, and stability within the developing countries, we are referring to the way important Indian leaders fought to get independence without violent acts. As was the case of the renowned pacifist Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi, who was one of the first leaders that were successful using his non-violent protests and demonstrations to demand the independence of India from the British crown.

Gandhi and his methods influenced other parts of the world and served as an example of civil non-violent resistance that has been followed in other developing countries.

Explain TWO ways in which the Unrest/ Looting has exposed the social injustices that mainly exist in the disadvantaged communiti
vichka [17]

Two ways that looting/ unrest exposed social injustices in South Africa are:

  • showed that people were desperate for a better life
  • showed that people lacked a lot of basic goods

The looting in South Africa that started July 2021 was as a result of a former President, Jacob Zuma, being arrested.

It showed that there was social injustice amongst the disadvantaged communities that mostly participated in the looting by:

  • Showing that people lacked basic goods - the things that people looted from shops and malls were mostly items that would make their lives better. In stealing them therefore, they were showing that the social injustices they went through prevented them from buying these things on their own.

  • Showing that people were desperate for better - a lot of people died during the looting as they would face vigilantes, other looters and the law yet this did not stop people from looting. It shows that people were so desperate for those goods that they could put their lives on the line to get them.

The looting / unrest in South Africa can therefore be conclusively said to be as a result of underlying social injustices imposed on their disadvantaged communities.
