Matter can change from a liquid to a solid or solid into liquid say for instance ice, you can change it from a solid to a liquid and a liquid back to a solid:D

It can can physically in shape, state and or appearance, i.e when water turns to ice its states turns from liquid to solid and its shape may vary to the container it occupies, and the appearance changes from transparent to white or so

Bill is pushing a box with 10 N of force to the left, while Alice is pushing the box with 30 N of force to the right. What is th
wariber [46]

Answer:

Fnet = 20 Newton

Explanation:

Let the force applied by Brian be Fb.

Let the force applied by Alice be Fa.

Given the following data;

Force, Fb = 10N

Force, Fa = 30N

To find the net force, Fnet;

Net force can be defined as the vector sum of all the forces acting on a body or an object i.e the sum of all forces acting simultaneously on a body or an object.

Mathematically, net force is given by the formula;

Fnet = Fapp + Fg

Where;

 • Fnet is the net force
 • Fapp is the applied force
 • Fg is the force due to gravitation

Since the two force applied to the box are acting in opposite direction, we would subtract their values to find the net force.

Fnet = Fa - Fb

Fnet = 30 - 10

Fnet = 20 Newton

Given that nitrogen forms three bonds with hydrogen to make <img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=NH_%7B3%7D" id="TexFormula1" title
lbvjy [14]

Answer:

Three hydrogen atoms to form PH₃.

Explanation:

Hello!

In this case, since the elements belonging to the nitrogen family (N, P, As, Sb and Bi) show five valence electrons, because there are five electrons at their outer shell, it is clear that if phosphorous bonds with hydrogen, it is going to require the same amount of oxygen atoms (3) because elements having five valence electrons need 3 bonds in order to attain the octet (5+3=8).

Therefore the compound would be:

PH_3

Which is phosphine.

Best regards!

The molecular weight of KMnO4 is 158 g/mol. If you wanted to make 500 mL of a 0.1M stock solution of KMnO4, how much solid KMnO4
labwork [276]

Solid KMnO₄ needed = 7.9 g

Further explanation

Given

MW KMnO₄ = 158 g/mol

500 mL(0.5 L) of a 0.1M stock solution of KMnO₄

Required

solid KMnO₄

Solution

Molarity shows the number of moles of solute in every 1 liter of solute or mmol in each ml of solution

\large{\boxed {\bold {M ~ = ~ \frac {n} {V}}}

Input the value :

n = M x V

n = 0.1 M x 0.5 L

n = 0.05 mol

Mass KMnO₄ :

= mol x MW

= 0.05 x 158 g/mol

= 7.9 g
