Answer:

a = -2

b = 1

c = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

2a + 4b + c = 5 ............(1)

a - 4b = - 6

or

a = 4b - 6 .............(2)

2b + c = 7

or

c = 7 - 2b   ...........(3)

substituting 2 and 3 in  1, we get

2(4b - 6 ) + 4b + (7 - 2b) = 5

or

8b - 12 + 4b + 7 - 2b = 5

or

10b - 5 = 5

or

b = 1

substituting b in 2, we get

a = 4(1) - 6

or

a = -2

substituting b in 3, we get

c = 7 - 2(1)

or

c = 5

thus,

a = -2

b = 1

c = 5

Scientific Notation:<br> what’s (2.2 x 10 to the -4) - (3 x 10 to the 2)
Marrrta [24]

Answer:

2.23\times10^4

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to get the answer to this question you need to turn the scientific notations into standard form then subtract the two standard forms.

(2.2\times10^{-4})-(3\times10^2)

Turn the notations into standard form:

2.2\times10^{-4} = .00022

3\times10^2=300

.00022-300=22300

=22300

Turn into notation form:

22300 = 2.23\times10^{4}

Hope this helps.

Differentiate the function with respect to x<br> f(x)= x^4/ x^2- 4<br> Show work
jeyben [28]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x)=\frac{u}{v} ,u~ and~ v~ functions~ of~ x\\f'(x)=\frac{v ~u'-u~v' }{v^2} \\f(x)=\frac{x^4}{x^2-4} \\f'(x)=\frac{(x^2-4)*4x^3-x^4(2x)}{(x^2-4)^2} \\=\frac{2x^3(2x^2-8-x^2) }{(x^2-4)^2} \\=\frac{2x^3(x^2-8)}{(x^2-4)^2}

PLEASE GUYS HELP ME I NEED THIS FOR A TEST NOW
ValentinkaMS [17]

Answer:

23.54 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Applying

cos∅ = adjacent(A)/hypotenuse(H)

cos∅ = A/H................ Equation 1

make H the subject of the equation

H = A/cos∅............ Equation 2

Given: A = 15 m, ∅ = 25°

Substitute into equation 2

H = 15/cos25

H = 16.55 m

Also,

tan∅ = opposite(O)/Adjacent(A)

tan∅ = O/A............Equation 3

Make O the subject of the equation

O = Atan∅.......... Equation 4

Substituting into equation 4

O = 15(tan25°)

O = 6.99 m.

From the diagram,

The height of the goal post before snap = H+O

The height of the goal post before snap = 16.55+6.99

The height of the goal post before snap = 23.54 m

Answer for brainlist with steps
bulgar [2K]

Step-by-step explanation:

2+6x= -10 + 11(x + 4)

2+ 6x = -10 + 11x + 11(4)

2 + 6x = -10 + 11x + 44

2+ 6x = 11x + 34

6x - 11x = 34 - 2

-5x = 32

x= - 32/5
