The majority of bacterial species on earth have not been successfully cultivated. true or False

Biology

Answer:

True

Explanation:

The bacterial cultivation refers to growing the bacterial species for exploitation or use. But the humans are not able to cultivate the majority of the bacterial species present which could be accounted for many reasons.

The bacteria can mutate very easily through the exchange of genetic material. Some bacterial species cannot be isolated.  New bacterial species are discovered in less period of time and some species fail to grow on the growth medium due to lack of information.  Till now only one percent of bacterial species have been cultivated.

Thus, true is correct.
