What is mitosis? What is the importance of mitosis?
I am Lyosha [343]
Mitosis is important because it is essential for growth and repair in the body. Mitosis happens when a parent cell divides, creating two identical copies, referred to as daughter cells. During this process, it is essential that the daughter cells are exactly the same with the same copies of DNA.

Based on the article "Will the real atomic model please
Arlecino [84]
The one major change that occurred was the placement and organization of the electron. Rutherford's model identified that the electrons were at a distance from the nucleus, Bohr's model identified that the electrons occurred at levels that related to their available energy, and the modern atomic model shows that electrons are located in a predicted area but cannot be identified in a specific point.

If a DNA molecule is found to be composed of 35% thymine, what percentage of cytosine would be expected, and why?
-Dominant- [34]
We use Chargaff's rule to get the answer. [A] + [G] = [C]+ [T].    [A] + [G] + [C] + [T] = 100% Where is A is Adenine, G is Gaunine, T is Thymine and C is Cytosine. In DNA, Adenine always pairs with Thymine, and Guanine always pairs with Cytosine. Therefore if Thymine is 35%, then Adenine will also be 35% to make 70% in total. The remaining percentage will be 100% - 70% = 30%. The 30% will be shared equally among Cytosine and Guanine, at 15% each. Therefore Cytosine will be 15%
