Answer:

The Cranial Nervous System nerves connect the brain to the eyes, mouth, ears and other parts of the head. The Autonomic Nervous System nerves connect the central nervous system to the lungs, heart, stomach, intestines, bladder and sex organs. The branch of medicine that studies the nervous system is called neurology. The nervous system, essentially the body’s electrical wiring, is a complex collection of nerves and specialized cells known as neurons that transmit signals between different parts of the body. Neurons signal to other cells through fibers called axons. Chemicals called neurotransmitters are released at gaps called synapses. These communications take only a fraction of a millisecond. Sensory neurons respond to stimuli such as light and sound.

Why do living things depend on diffusion?
mylen [45]
Living organisms obtain many of their requirements by diffusion. They also get rid of many of waste materials in this way. For example, Plants need carbon dioxide for photosynthesis. This diffuses from the air into the leaves through the stomata. It does this because there is a lower concentration of carbon dioxide inside the leaf as the cells are using it up. Outside the leaf in the air, there is a higher concentration. Carbon dioxide molecules therefore diffuse into the leaf down this concentration gradient :)

How does sun provide us with the energy we need to run our bodies?
dusya [7]
Well, the high energy and heat found in the photons of sunlight allow plants to make their own food, sustaining them long enough to be eaten by us, or to be eaten by animals about to be eaten by us. Plus we get direct warmth from the sun. These things mean that the sun is what keeps all organisms alive in the first place.
