Graduated : 610 among which 305 are (F and graduated) and 305 are (Male and graduated)
40% of 2110 are Male : 844 ==> (Male and non graduated) : 844 - 305 = 539
therefore :
Male or Graduated = (Male and non graduated) + Graduated (M or F)
= 539 + 610
= 1149
and therefore :
1149/2110 # 54.45%

C. 54% <--------- ANSWER

It took me some time :)
Out of 2020 student there are 480 graduates and 1540 non graduates.
From the 480 graduates there are 240 female graduates.
So the chance to pick a female graduate is 240/2020
Apart from the female graduates all the male students are good for us.
We know that there are 2020*0.4 males= 808
So to pick a male is 808/2020

P=(240+808)/2020= 0,5188 (rounded to 52%)

Lee watches TV for 2 hours per day. During that time, the TV consumes 150 watts per hour. Electricity costs (15 cents)/(1 kilowa
shutvik [7]
So electricity costs 15cents every 1,000 watts used, and if he watches tv for 2hrs every day for a month that’s 60 hours (2*30) And every hour he watches tv it’s 150 watts. They want you to do the 60 hrs times 150watts which is 9,000 (amount of watts he uses in the month) and remember 1,000 watts is 15cents

For the Data Set below, calculate the Variance to the nearest hundredth decimal place. (Do not use a coma in your answer) 175 34
dlinn [17]

Answer:

The variance of the data is 29966.3.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given data set is

175, 349, 234, 512, 638, 549, 500, 611

We need to find the variance to the nearest hundredth decimal place.

Mean of the data

Mean=\dfrac{\sum x}{n}

where, n is number of observation.

Mean=\dfrac{3568}{8}=446

The mean of the data is 446.

Variance=\dfrac{\sum (x-mean)^2}{n-1}

Variance=\dfrac{(175-446)^2+(349-446)^2+(234-446)^2+(512-446)^2+(638-446)^2+(549-446)^2+(500-446)^2+(611-446)^2}{8-1}

Variance=\dfrac{209764}{7}

Variance=29966.2857

Variance\approx 29966.3

Therefore, the variance of the data is 29966.3.
