7. 5 because the lowest number of pizza slices is 5. It wouldn't be 15 because there aren't 15 slices of cheese pizza.

O.K, so I'm not sure about 8. I tried to set up a timeline almost. Where I would make seven dashes to equal a week, then put the job abbreviations for the jobs underneath. I did 6 weeks and it never lined up. If you want to try that out for yourself go ahead. I'm not sure if you'll get a different outcome or not.

mestny [16]

Answer: $5100

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, The prize money starts at $20 for the first question.

Let a= 20,

Also, Each question is tougher than the one before it, and the station doubles the prize money from the previous amount.

i.e. the sequence prize willbe : $20 , 2 x ($20) , 2² x ($20)x ....

That is its is an geometric progression with the common ratio r= 2,

Since the sum of n terms in GP is given by :-

S_n=\dfrac{a(r^n-1)}{r-1}, \text{ when }r>1

So the total money will it hand out in prizes after 8 questions would be :

S_8=\dfrac{20(2^8-1)}{2-1}=20\times255=5100

Hence, the total money it will hand out in prizes = $5100

Reika [66]

Answer:

19/37

Step-by-step explanation:

The mathematics faculty at a college consists of 9 professors, 8 associate professors, 10 assistant professors, and 10 instructors. If one faculty member is randomly selected, find the probability of choosing a professor or an instructor

Total number of people in the faculty =

9 professors + 8 associate professors+ 10 assistant professors+ 10 instructors

= 37 people

Hence,

The probability of choosing a professor or an instructor

= P( Professor) + P( Instructor)

= 9/37 + 10/37

= 19/37
