Cellular Respiration (1 of 5): Inputs and Outputs (BioFlix tutorial) 12 of 16> Part B-Acetyl CoA Formation ▼ In acetyl CoA fo
yaroslaw [1]

Explanation:

Not an output or input: ADP, glucose, O₂, ATP

Input: pyruvate, NAD⁺, coenzyme A

Output:  acetyl CoA,  CO₂ NADH,

O2 and glucose are then used in respiration...

C6H12O6 (glucose) + 6 O2 → 6 CO2 + 6 H2O + ≈38 ATP

Further Explanation:

In all eukaryotic cells mitochondria are small cellular organelles bound by membranes, these make most of the chemical energy required for powering the biochemical reactions within the cell. This chemical energy is stored within the molecule ATP which is produced.

Respiration in the mitochondria utilizes acetyl coA, which is produced from the activity of coenzyme A on pyruvate, along with oxygen for the production of ATP in the Krebs’s cycle via the oxidization of pyruvate( through the process of glycoysis). The electron transport chain, in which oxygen functions as the terminal electron acceptor occurs in both plants and animals.

  • Glycolysis: occurs in the cytoplasm 2 molecules of ATP are used to cleave glucose into 2 pyruvates, 4 ATP and 2 electron carrying NADH molecules.
  • The Kreb's cycle: in the mitochondrial matrix- 6 molecules of CO2 are produced by combining oxygen and the carbon within pyruvate, 2 ATP oxygen molecules, 8 NADH and 2 FADH2.
  • The electron transport chain, ETC: in the inner mitochondrial membrane, 34 ATP, electrons combine with H+ split from 10 NADH, 4 FADH2, renewing the number of electron acceptors and 3 oxygen; this forms 6 H2O, 10 NAD+, 4 FAD.

What does mold do for the ecosystem
tigry1 [53]
Mold is a fungus that serves as a decomposer by helping things decompose faster, thereby breaking them down to their basic elements so that the natural cycle of life can begin again.

Forensic scientists can match missing persons and their families by matching maternal DNA to the missing individual.
iris [78.8K]

Answer:

The mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is passed down from the mother to the children almost unchanged. The analysis of mtDNA has provided the forensic scientist with essential tools for determining the source of DNA that they have recovered even from small biological samples. Thus, the answer to the question above is letter B.

What are some features that were or are associated with the emptying of lakes formed during glacial times?
xxMikexx [17]
Some of the features that are associated with the emptying of lakes formed during glacial time include the following:
The Bonneville salt flats of Utah, the channelled scabland, the enormous potholes carved into bedrocks and enourmous ripples hundred of feet high. All these are product of flowing ice and melted water. They are usually found in glaciated areas.<span />
