Answer:

Explanation:

The theory of continential drift----------

In the mid-twentieth century, the famous "theory of continental drift" was referred to as the "Taylor-Wegener hypothesis", although this terminology was not usually used. Alfred Wegener first presented his hypothesis to the German Geological Society on 6 January 1912.

The evidences of continental drift are described as follows:

Evidence that South America and Africa might once have been joined to each other came from the research and study of the German geographer, Alexander von Humboldt. He traveled throughout South America, Africa, and various parts of the world, collecting plant and animal specimens and studying geography and geology. He observed many similarities between South America and Africa in addition to the apparent suitable of continental coastlines. For example, von Humboldt noticed that the mountain ranges near Buenos Aires, Argentina, match mountain ranges found in South Africa.

Describe the effects on global food webs if the suns energy could no longer reach earth
aev [14]
All plant life, and some would argue most energy on earth, is a result of the sun passing energy in the form of light energy. Plants consume light energy and grow, through photosynthesis.

If the suns energy no longer reached earth, the plants would not be able to photosynthesize any longer. So they would likely die. Also, it would be really cold.

VARVARA [1.3K]

An unintended consequence that may occur as a result of the geographic phenomena in the image is gentrification of the area.

What is gentrification?

This is a process where a poor neighborhood is transformed into a richer one as a result of wealthier people moving into the area.

It is not an unintended consequence of the urban sprawl shown in the above photo because not every poor neighborhood will be affected by gentrification.

In conclusion, option A is correct.
