Answer:

The Alien and sedition acts gave the federal government effective authority yo stifle any public criticism, and were aggressively used by the Adams administration to that effect.

Explanation:

In 1798 president Adams responded to the French war threat by passing the Alien and Sedition acts, which prohibited any form of manifestation against the Federal government. This was done in order to secure the liberties of all Americans against any foreign threats. However, there was an internal tension which could escalate to civil war between the Federalists and the democrats, because the latter garnered non- native supporters. the Adams administration decided to take control and prohibit any form of public opposition to the federalist government in terms of internal and foreign policy or any other grievance.

What were some of the main economic problems found in Sri Lanka<br> immediately after independence?
Snezhnost [94]

answer:

Such economies can be beset by high levels of debt, a heavy reliance on foreign capital inflows, a steady depreciation of its currency, and high-interest rates. Sri Lanka has suffered balance of payments (BOP) crises at regular intervals, with the exception of a 9-year period from 1992 to 2000.

The recent changes in the climate have reduced crop yields and crop growth in Sri Lanka due to heat intolerance and water evaporation. This reduces the economic returns to those in the agricultural sector, leading to lower incomes for the individuals affected by these environmental changes.

Vinvika [58]

Answer: 2 the social contract

Explanation:

John Locke is one of the "social contract"-philosophers. He believed that people had the right to participate in governing the state, since they were rational/sensible. Locke believed that humans were born with certain natural rights, rights of life, liberty and property.

John lock was born in  1632.  The Mayflower Compact  was drafted and signed by male English migrants aboard the Mayflower on November 11, 1620

He also died in 1704 so he could not have signed the declaration of independence

The 1215 Magna Carta was a conceptually groundbreaking agreement between the then unpopular English King, and the rebel Barons, limiting the power of the King.
