\frac{j}{2}\ge \:3\quad :\quad \begin{bmatrix}\mathrm{Solution:}\:&\:j\ge \:6\:\\ \:\mathrm{Interval\:Notation:}&\:[6,\:\infty \:)\end{bmatrix}

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Given that,

\frac{j}{2} \geq 3

We have to solve the inequality

Remember that,

When we add or subtract or divide or multiply a number in one side of inequality, it must also be added or subtracted or divided or multiplied on other side of inequality also

From given,

\frac{j}{2} \geq 3\\\\\mathrm{Multiply\:both\:sides\:by\:}2\\\\\frac{2j}{2}\ge \:3\cdot \:2\\\\Simplify\\\\j\ge \:6

<em><u>The solution set is:</u></em>

\frac{j}{2}\ge \:3\quad :\quad \begin{bmatrix}\mathrm{Solution:}\:&\:j\ge \:6\:\\ \:\mathrm{Interval\:Notation:}&\:[6,\:\infty \:)\end{bmatrix}

Thus solution for j is found

Find the zeroes of the function f(x).<br> f(x)=(x–3)(x+4)
Ymorist [56]

Answer:Set \displaystyle f\left(x\right)=0f(x)=0.

Step-by-step explanation:

Set \displaystyle f\left(x\right)=0f(x)=0.

If the polynomial function is not given in factored form:

Factor out any common monomial factors.

Factor any factorable binomials or trinomials.

Set each factor equal to zero and solve to find the \displaystyle x\text{-}x- intercepts.

I need help on this logarithmic equation I need it solved step by step * It asks to solve it in terms of x. *
Rashid [163]

To solve the function in terms of x:

\log _{4^x}2^a=3

find the power of the subscripts of the log

\begin{gathered} \log _{4^x}2^a=3 \\ \log _{2^{2x}}2^a=3 \\ \frac{a}{2x}\log _22=3 \\ \text{where }\log _22=1 \\ \frac{a}{2x}=3 \end{gathered}

cross multiply the expression

\begin{gathered} \frac{a}{2x}=3 \\ a=3(2x) \\ a=6x \end{gathered}

Therefore the correct answer of a = 6x
