Answer: x=3

Step-by-step explanation: Hello! I hope you are having a great day :)

For this question, you will have to distribute in order to do that, you will need to multiply what's inside the parenthesis by 5. From there you get the equation 3 - 10x + 25= -2. So from this equation, we can then add the coefficients which becomes 28 - 10x = -2. We will then have to move the constant variable (28) over to the right-hand side and change the sign. Our new equation becomes -10x = -2 - 28. We then will calculate our new equation which becomes -10x = -30.  Next we divide both sides by -10 in order to make -10x into just x. -30 divided by -10 equals 3. Therefore, our answer is x=3.

Hope this helps!

I really need help with the question above! This is my second time asking. Am I right? If not please give me the correct answer

Hey there! :D

Pay attention to the given angles.

We know that a circle is equal to 360 degrees.

We know two angles, and the other 2 are the same measure.

170+44= 214

Subtract that from 360, since that is what the circle equals.

360-214= 146

Divide that by two, since there are 2 equal angles left.

146/2= 73

<DOB= 73 degrees.

You were correct, so good work!

I hope this helps!

what is the equation in slope form of the line that is parallel to the given line and passes through the point (-3,1)
viktelen [127]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in point- slope form is

y - b = m(x - a)

where m is the slope and (a, b) a point on the line

Calculate the slope of the given line using the slope formula

m = (y₂ - y₁ ) / (x₂ - x₁ )

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (- 2, - 4) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (2, 2) ← 2 points on the line

m = \frac{2+4}{2+2} = \frac{6}{4} = \frac{3}{2}

Parallel lines have equal slopes and using (a, b) = (- 3, 1), then

y - 1 = \frac{3}{2}(x - (- 3)), that is

y - 1 = \frac{3}{2}(x + 3) ← in point- slope form
