Answer:

C.Young people are politically engaged

Explanation:

The generalization that can most logically made from this passage is that young people are politically engaged because the passage said that students were interviewed about the issue that matter the most to them and they talked about topics like racism, the environment and diversity and what can be inferred from this is that young people is getting involve in the problems they are seeing and they are trying to do something to help which means they are getting engage in politics.

The third alternative is correct (C).

This passage shows the social concern of young people with diverse issues such as racial equality, the environment and access to higher education. In this way, it can be said that these young people are politically engaged, concerned with general well-being.

This is especially relevant to note, since we live in a world that offers distinct opportunities for people, depending on their social class, color and country in which they were born.

4. How do you think the British felt about the Declaration of Independence? What
just olya [345]

Answer:

They were furious, especially their king and members of government. They believed that colonists betrayed them. On the other hand Declaration meant that Britain will lose its most important territory and therefore announced that colonies are in the open rebellion and wanted to prevent them from seceding.

Explanation:

British government didn't understand the needs of colonists. They imposed many taxes, didn't respected them as citizens of Crown, but were either unaware or didn't expect that the rebellion could happen.

So, when the Declaration was announced it was seen as an act of treason.

How did states with segregated school systems respond to the Supreme Court ruling in Brown v. Board of
Jobisdone [24]

Answer:

They attempted to keep their schools segregated.

Explanation:

The Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka was a landmark litigation or court case between Oliver Brown and the Board of Education in which the justices of the Supreme Court unanimously ruled (9-0) in 1954 that racially segregating children in public schools was unconstitutional because it violates the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment (14th) of the Constitution of the United States of America.

Meanwhile, on the 4th of September, 1957, the first day of resumption of class activities at Central High School, the Governor of Arkansas, Orval Eugene Faubus invited the Arkansas National Guard to block all African-Americans (black) students from entering into the school.

Hence, the states with segregated school systems responded to the Supreme Court ruling in Brown v. Board of Education by attempting to keep their schools segregated.
